Embrace Slow Living This Weekend

Hello Reader,

Do you ever feel like it takes forever to prepare a meal and then in just a few minutes its all gone. You might even think “where did that meal go” It can feel like you just wolfed it down so fast that you really didn’t enjoy it. Sometimes life gets so busy, that you are just eating on the run. I get it! We have all been there.

You have likely heard about slow food which is about truly enjoying preparing food as well as taking your time enjoying your meal with or without others. You might even make a ritual around it. Lighting a candle, playing some soft music and having a special drink to enjoy with your meal.

I want to talk to you today about Slow Living. What could this mean for you?

Many of you know that I have been stepping away from business and really assessing what is happening for me today. What is working, what is not? It hasn’t really been easy. I am someone who thrives on being busy and productive and doing nothing can really feel uncomfortable.

However, there have been some slow changes happening for me and I am embracing them. I have been allowing life to unfold as it should, going with the flow and trusting that I am on the right path. Focussing on what truly matters to me which is my health, eating well, getting some exercise every day, self care, journaling, visiting my 95 year old mom twice a week, doing the things I love and taking the time to be alone with my thoughts.

I love the idea of Slow Living. For me, that means being in the moment (which can be hard) and enjoying the moments and really feeling grateful. It’s about not being consumed with the past or worried about the future. It means being focused on one task at a time and letting go of overthinking everything and the “big to do” list.

I love writing this weekly email to YOU and I am planning to write more about being intentional and focussed on downsizing and simplifying your life.

How could you embrace Slow Living in your life? I would love to hear your thoughts on that or any topics you would like to see. Just hit reply on this email and I will get back to you personally.

Until next time,

Happy Decluttering!

How cool is that? I was surprised to find out that I have read over 17 books so far this year. I thought I would share some of my...
