Hello Reader, Some of you might know that I describe myself as a "Self-help Junkie" and I kind of think of that as my Superpower. Yes, I have read many self help books. However, I have started to read fiction again and I am loving it. I like to read on my kindle and did you know you can get 2 or 3 books for free every month if you have prime. Way less clutter too! How cool is that? I was surprised to find out that I have read over 17 books so far this year. I thought I would share some of my favourites with you. FYI The links go to amazon.ca. 1.The Maid's Diary by Loreth Anne White This book kept me up all night reading (ugh). Just when you think you know the plot something totally different happens. So good! 2. Don't Let Her Stay by Nicola Sanders A psychological thriller with a breathtaking twist. These next two books include mystery, family drama and trauma, romance and strong women. It was so interesting to learn more about the Indian Culture. 3. There's Something About Mira by Sonali Dev 4.Yours For The Season by Uzma Jalalude 5. Read Between the Lines by Rachel Lacey This book is about a Bookstore Owner and a Romance Writer. It's also about love between two women. What's not to love? 6. Under a Greek Sky by Francesca Catlow I am loving books that are set in other countries. This is a great summer read, a beautiful setting in Greece with lots of family drama and trauma, wonderful characters, strong women supporting each other and of course, romance. 7. True to Me by Kay Bratt This is a wonderful story set in beautiful Maui, Hawaii of a woman finding her true self. It is full of love and pain and so many more emotions. This is Book 1 which can be a stand alone or you could go on to the series. 8. The Wedding Game by Meghan Quinn This was such a fun book which was set up like a Reality Show (and I am a fan of a few reality shows). Full of drama and of course Romance. 9. When It Falls Apart by Catherine Bybee This book is inspiring and relatable. It is about a woman who has to put her life on hold and move to care for her aging father who left her when she was very young. This story has an Italian influence and is a fun and sexy read. It is also Book 1 in a Series. 10. One Midnight With You by Shari Low This story is told in a 24 hour period on New Years Eve. When I first started this new reading journey I was focused on romance novels (not harlequin) but I have found I am thoroughly enjoying more of the psychological thrillers, mysteries, lots of family drama and a little romance thrown in. Because why not! I am currently reading The Woman in the Cabin by Becca Day - I am not even half way through yet and it is so good. I am a bit nervous though, because some of the reviews say that it is terrifying. Yikes! Definitely a page turner. I think I will read it in the daytime. Did you like this list of books? Any of them grab your attention? Just reply to this email. You know I love to hear from you. Happy Reading! Until next time, P.S. Visit Space For You today for more inspiration. |

Hello Reader, I know for myself it can be hard to ask for help. I have worked in the helping profession all my life and I was always there for others. When it came to myself it has been a different story. Thankfully, I do find it easier now! This question really hit me when my mom was 91 and she was living on her own. I had offered to help her to downsize many times but she was adamant that she could do it herself and did not need any help. Unfortunately, I did not see any evidence of this...
