Hello Reader, “Please help! I’m so overwhelmed. I don’t even know where to start!” This is probably the #1 question I see in my group and hear from clients. And I get it. When everything feels like it needs attention, figuring out where to begin can feel like one more impossible decision. Here’s the bad news: You get to decide. And here’s the good news: You get to decide. 😊 You are the expert in your own life and your own home. And really, you wouldn’t want it any other way, right? But I do have a few thoughts that might help you get started. Start with the easiest thing. This can give you a quick sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. Maybe it’s: *Getting the trash out *Doing the dishes *Starting a load of laundry *Clearing off one small surface These things often take much less time than we think, and seeing an immediate difference can help you build some momentum. Start with an area that will make the biggest difference.Think about an area that is causing you stress or getting in your way every day. Maybe it’s: *Your entranceway, so you have a clear space when you walk in the door *Your kitchen table, so you can actually sit down and eat a meal *Your bed, so you can have a clear, comfortable place to sleep Pick one spot and stick with it, especially if you have trouble staying focused. Finish the task. Then stop for a moment and notice what you accomplished. Or…start with the hardest thing. There can be something really satisfying about finally tackling the thing you’ve been avoiding. No more procrastinating. Get it done and then move on to something easier (and maybe even more fun!). I have to admit, this is one I’m working on myself. I can be VERY productive doing all kinds of little things around the house while conveniently avoiding the one thing I really need to do. Anyone else? 😂 The truth is, there isn't one right place to start. The best place to start is the place that feels right for you today. And if you're still feeling stuck, that's where a little support can make a big difference. Need help getting started? Laundry piling up, clean clothing in laundry baskets, lots of clothing you never wear, empty drawers? You think about getting to it someday soon but it seems like other more urgent or fun things keep getting in the way. Ugh! You have “change up my seasonal clothes” on your "to do" list but you are still procrastinating. I get it! It can be hard to make decisions...

Hello Reader, Moving is right up there at the top of the stress scale. Change is hard. I wanted to make a change for a very long time. I actually tried to sell the house before and it didn't happen. However, the third time was the charm. Sometimes we can’t force what we want. A “no” or a delay doesn't necessarily mean “never.” Some things are much harder to let go of than others.I discovered that some things were easy to let go of: the roasting pan, my old purple boots. Cards, letters,...
