Hello Reader, I saw this question in a Facebook group and I was so surprised by the answers. The popular answer was “alone” and I get that. I'm the same way. However, I would have thought for sure many people would prefer help. Especially hands on help. Many of us like to sort through our things privately. We want the time to think, remember, and make decisions without feeling watched or rushed. I work virtually with my clients usually on Zoom (and sometimes facetime). I always tell my clients "you get to do this work yourself but with guidance from me. And you get to do the work on your own time and at your own pace" If you get stuck on something, we talk about it at our next session. I am there to help you through it. I help you to make intentional and informed decisions about your stuff. That's exactly how I work with my clients. I won't tell you what to keep or what to get rid of. I don't make decisions for you. It has to be what works for you! Accountability is a powerful motivator! I remember once I had my sister over helping me to change around a room. I had this cute ceramic cat and its kittens that sat on my floor. One of them even had a chip in it. Some of you might remember when ceramics were so popular. 😘 Anyway, my sister said "what do you want to do with these cats, they are kind of childish aren't they?" At first I was annoyed and then I made the decision to let them go. I don't expect you to be ready to part with something just because I think you should. Instead, I guide you through the process while you stay in control. When you get stuck, I'm there to ask the hard questions you can't ask yourself. If you're feeling overwhelmed, I give you some tools and help you break things into manageable steps so that you can move forward when you are ready. When emotions come up, I help you work through them with compassion and no judgment. You get to make intentional, informed decisions that feel right for your life. Because lasting change doesn't come from someone clearing out your home. It comes from building the confidence to make decisions that you can continue making long after we're finished working together. If you've been trying to do this on your own and keep getting stuck maybe you just need someone to walk alongside you. You get to do the work yourself, but you are not alone. If that sounds like the kind of support you've been looking for, send me a message. I'd love to chat about how we can work together virtually, from the comfort of your own home. Please reply to this email kimtremblay@sympatico.ca as I check it more frequently. Until next time, Happy Decluttering! P.S. Visit Space For You today for more inspiration. |

Hello Reader, Oops! I totally messed up the countdown last week and apparently thought there was an extra week in there. 😂 Ugh! So, from today it’s 4 days until we get the keys and 11 days until moving day. What?! Things are getting real around here. This week we’ve been focused on what we’re actually bringing to the new place and, just as importantly, what needs to happen once we get there. The buyers of our house had their walk-through this week, which meant we had to spend quite a bit of...
Hello Reader, One of the things I love about packing and moving is that you get to go through everything. You get to see what you have. And, perhaps more importantly, you get to decide what you don’t want to take into your next chapter. I’m at the point now where I need to make some tough decisions and I know you can probably relate. Here are a few of them from this past week The Big Roasting Pan I haven’t used this roasting pan in years. My thought process went something like this: “It would...
